Overview: The Yonkofa Project is a non-profit organization whose goal is to bring medical care and preventive care to people in Ghana Africa who would otherwise have no access. The website presents background information about the project and provides a number of methods for interested readers to contribute to the cause. A number of items are offered through an online catalog and my be purchased by donating to the project. Payments are processed through PayPal.

Technology: This site uses the WordPress framework. WordPress plugins are used to implement the online catalog and shopping cart and a FAQ page.

Overview: Pitchfork Ranch is a small business that raises sheep and llamas and sells animals as well as their wool and wool products. The site presents information about the ranch and the products they offer, including listings and pictures of sheep and llamas for sale and an online catalog of their wool and wool products. The site also includes an Events Calendar.

Technology: This site uses the WordPress framework. Several WordPress plugins are used to implement the Events Calendar as well as the online catalog of wool and wool products. The content of this site is managed completely by the owners of Pitchfork Ranch through the WordPress admin interface.

Overview: Lynne Brown is an artist whose work is beautiful pottery. Her site showcases her work, provides information on where to see her work and provides contact information.

Technology: This is a fully-custom PHP/MySQL site with an Admin Area through which the owner can manage the site content.

Overview: The North American Clun Forest Association (NACFA) site provides information about the Clun Forest breed of sheep as well as information about the breed association. The site includes an online database of all NACFA sheep registration records as well as NACFA member/breeder/owner data. The online sheep data is searchable and pedigrees can be displayed for each animal. Member data is also searchable and sortable. An Admin Area is provided for use by the association secretary/registrar for complete management of the member and animal data. An online registration application form is provided for use by NACFA breeders. When a registration application is submitted, the data is stored in a queue and the NACFA registrar is notified by email. The registrar can then process the registration applications using the Admin Area and convert each application into an animal record. The Admin Area also provides Registration Certificates (PDF) as well as address labels (PDF) for the membership list.

Technology: The online database section of this site is a fully-custom PHP/MySQL design. The remainder of the site is standard HTML.

Overview: The Red Wattle Hog Association site (formerly the Red Wattle Project) is the official site for the Red Wattle Hog Association (RWHA). The site provides an online Breeders Directory and animal pedigrees and other data. Members can access a “Members Area” where they can upload pictures of the registered animals they own and also use Pedigree Analysis functions to calculate Wright’s Coefficient of Inbreeding (COI) on animals or hypothetical matings of animals in the online database. The site also includes a Forum for discussion of various topics relating to Red Wattle Hogs.

Technology: This is a fully-custom PHP/MySQL design, except for the Forum which uses the phpBB forum package.

Overview: This site uses a copy of the NASSA Registry database (updated quarterly) to show online member/breeder lists, animal pedigrees, progeny lists, and other animal data. NASSA members can establish an account for the “Members Area” of the site where they can log in and take advantage of additional features.
