Welcome to my studio!

As an artist, I strive to provide high quality weavings for floor coverings using traditional and sustainable natural materials. I use primarily wool and linen. I use wool from heritage sheep breeds historically used for rugs, carpets, coarser outer garments, and functional accessories. In this way I hope to contribute to continuing the usefulness of these endangered heritage breeds. The sheep breeds represented in my work are: Navajo-Churro, Shetland, Leicester Longwool, and Karakul.

My husband and I have a small flock (about 80 sheep) of Navajo-Churro, Shetland, and Leicester Longwool sheep that we raise for wool and breeding stock. I actually shear my own sheep and use their wool in my weavings.
